Your website, cared for — so you never have to worry
We handle backups, security scans, updates and bug fixes on a fixed annual plan. Your site stays fast, safe and live — while you focus on running your business.
These are the most common website disasters we get called in to fix
“Our site got hacked and customers saw something terrible before we noticed”
Three days of a defaced page, spam links or a redirect to a scam site. The immediate damage is bad. The hit to your Google ranking lasts months after the fix.
“We updated a plugin and now half the site is broken”
Plugin incompatibilities are one of the most common WordPress disasters. An update cascades into broken layouts, PHP errors or a completely blank screen. Without a recent backup, recovery is slow and expensive.
“Our site goes down and we only find out when a customer tells us”
No uptime monitoring means you're always the last to know. In the hours between a site going offline and someone telling you, you're losing enquiries and Google is logging the downtime.
“We haven't updated anything in 18 months because we're scared of breaking it”
So outdated plugins accumulate, security vulnerabilities widen and the site gets progressively slower. Not acting is also a risk — it just unfolds silently rather than dramatically.

What happens when you neglect website maintenance
Most website problems don't announce themselves in advance. They accumulate silently — outdated plugins, expiring SSL certificates, unpatched security holes — until something breaks publicly, usually at the worst possible moment.
WordPress security: the real numbers
WordPress powers over 43% of all websites globally, making it the most-targeted CMS for hackers. Over 30,000 websites are hacked every day. The overwhelming majority exploit known vulnerabilities in outdated plugins and themes — vulnerabilities that had patches available weeks or months before the attack. Regular updates are the single most effective security measure for any WordPress site owner.
What plugin updates actually protect
WordPress plugins are third-party code that can contain security flaws developers discover and patch in new versions. When a vulnerability is publicly disclosed, attackers scan the web for unpatched sites and exploit them within hours. Common attack vectors include contact form plugins, SEO plugins and page builder plugins. Running outdated versions of these is like leaving a known unlocked door in your building while you're on holiday.
Slow sites lose customers — measurably
Google data shows 53% of mobile users abandon a site that takes more than 3 seconds to load. Each additional second of load time reduces conversions by approximately 7%. Sites that are never maintained accumulate speed debt — database bloat, uncompressed images, redundant plugin overhead. A maintenance plan with quarterly speed checks prevents this from compounding over time.
Backups: when (not if) you need them
Website data loss happens more often than business owners expect — hosting failures, accidental content deletions, hack recoveries. Without an offsite backup, recovery means starting from scratch. Daily automated backups stored separately from the hosting server are the minimum standard. nexweb's Care Maintain plans include offsite backups so that if anything goes wrong, restoring your site takes minutes, not weeks.
SSL certificates and what happens when they expire
An SSL certificate encrypts data between your visitor's browser and your server — it's what creates the padlock and https. When a certificate expires, browsers show a bright red "Connection is not secure" warning that stops most visitors cold. SSL certificates expire annually and require renewal and reinstallation. Without a maintenance plan, this is surprisingly easy to miss until customers report they can't access your site.
Common questions
Is this for WordPress sites only?
Primarily yes — our maintenance tools are built around WordPress. For static sites, we offer a lighter monitoring + backup plan. Ask us.
What happens if my site gets hacked?
We scan and clean the site as part of Pro Care and Managed+. For Essential, malware removal is charged separately at a fixed rate.
Can I add more edit hours?
Yes — extra edit time is available at RM79/hour, or upgrade to a higher plan.
Do I need to sign a long-term contract?
Plans are annual (you pay once, covered for 12 months). There's no monthly lock-in.
